Projects in Motion
We got wind of a summer camp for special needs children, had their landing blocks stolen. Director of Kamp Dovetail explained the dire situation of the need for these landing blocks to aid the children up to the level to get on the horses back; without them the program will be canceled.
The criteria was to make them strong and light, wide and sturdy, but not too heavy or they couldn't be moved.... with one platform taller of the three.
My son Brendon and I designed, built and donated these to the program. They are coated with three coats of sealer and will always be stored inside of a barn. Expected life is 100 years. We made them with personal statements carved into them so they would likely not be stolen again.
